• Earth 911 -- is a terrific resource that will give you the recycling rules for your area: what can be left curbside, and what can be dropped off at other sites (including all types of household waste).
• Compact fluorescent bulbs -- drop off at your local Home Depot store.
• Packing peanuts -- drop off at your local UPS store, or check The Plastic Loose Fill Council.
• Batteries – rechargeable batteries can be dropped off at your local Office Depot, or check Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation.
• CD,  jewel cases, cell phones and techno-trash -- GreenDisk.
• Crayons -- send them to the National Crayon Recycle Program to be made into new ones.
• Crocs -- Soles United uses worn out Crocs shoes to create new footwear for people around the world who have none, check their website to mail or find a drop-off location.
